Frequently Asked Questions:

 

Q:  Where are the classes held?

A:  Private lessons are usually held at God’s Gifts Art Studio in Del City.  Small and Large groups must be held at an outside location.  I have access to a location in Edmond and in Bethany and will travel within the metro area, and reserve the right to charge an additional amount to compensate for time and gas.

 

Q:  What ages do you teach?

A:  I prefer to teach children ages 6 to 100.  I will hold classes for children ages 2-5; however, there will be less teaching and more hands on “play” time.   Students in a group, including private lessons, must be similar ages and/or in similar stages.

 

Q:  Can you teach a group of more than 15 students?

A:  Because my purpose in teaching is to instruct and encourage, I can take at most 15 children per session.  I like to give the children individual attention so that they can feel good about themselves and actually improve.  It is not “arts and crafts” time. 

  

Q:  What do you teach?

A:  Curriculum is determined by the student(s) or group leader and can include, but is not limited to, specific concepts (i.e. drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, collage, computer graphics) and media (i.e. pencil, pen and ink, conté, charcoal, watercolor, acrylics, oils, soft pastels, oil pastels, marker, colored pencil) and topics (i.e. history, murals, basic elements).

 

Q:  How much will supplies cost?

A:  Supply fees generally range from $3 to $20 per year per student depending on the size of the group and the curriculum.

 

Q:  What if I miss a lesson?

A:  Full payment will be required whether or not the student attends.  Private and small group lessons may be rescheduled.  Rescheduled lessons may be reduced in time.  Large group lessons may not be rescheduled.
